Weekly Recap; 4/21/25-4/27/25

Not nearly as much time in Nature as I would have liked, but that is the hand life dealt.

I did finish two paintings this week though. I’ve felt very inspired lately to paint and honor the fish I love so much.

The first idea was to capture one of my Steelhead from 2019. There was another canvas in my supplies, so what species next?

Thought about doing a Brown Trout but then it became obvious that I need to paint a Smallmouth!

Both paintings are 18”x24” Acrylic on Canvas. They are meant to go together as part of a “Fall Fishing Frenzy” and the Brown Trout as well as Lake Trout and others will be added to the list!

As for my time on the water, well that was pretty amazing.

Then I caught my first smallmouth of 2025! And it was a good one!

I caught all my fish on a custom JDO Jighead that I tied up the night before our outing.

Nothing else too crazy to write about, it was a fun short day on the water!
