Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

As per usual for the holidays, there was a lot of food! A few of my creations are shown; Lembas (Elvish) Bread, Bison Granola Bars, Protein Waffles and Tacos!!!

Due to the size of the cookie cutter I have, the bison protein bars turned out as “Heads or Tails” something different.

Christmas provided a bunch of super cool gifts! Thank you and you know who you are! The best gift by far?

A Wool Fisherman’s Sweater from Ireland! Have worn it almost daily. Along with that a wool t-shirt, wool socks, Carhartt steel pants, an ornament of me as an Emoji fisherman, acrylic paint markers, and more.

It was a different Christmas this year for sure, scaled back. Still, better than the snowed in Christmas a few years ago. Well, not better, but different. Regardless, got to see family and friends and exchange gifts, hugs and of course food!

It was a slow week for art. However, I did get to use my new markets and holy smokes! I dig them!

Jigs, Flies and more Jigs!

Pure creativity when it came to creating lures this week. Experimented with materials, patterns and combinations. The first of the week, I used the paint markers to add the eyes and gills. Something different! Needs to practice and improvement, but still a start.

Bucktail has been my favorite material lately to work with. Maybe because there is something extremely natural and right about it? It gives good body to a lure as well as bulk breathability.

Also, had a trip to Cabela’s to pick up some more tying material with my buddy Tyler. My mind wanted to spend hundreds, but reality spoke louder thankfully, I got what I needed and nothing more.

Next week there will be some AMAZING looking jigs with all new material.

That is about all I got for you from this past week! Holidays are busy times, but time flies bye, enjoy it while you can, not often is it normalized by most people to relax more. Soak it up, spend time with loved ones.
