Not much to report. Not much time in Nature.
-
Leaves are changing more and more and slowly falling to the ground.
-
Other trees are filling with apples and berries. It is so interesting how much life comes in this season that is also so associated with death.
-
Rambling time… not sure what else to write about…
There is the need inside of me to always be busy or productive, as if that is the best route to success. Whatever that even means.
-
Modern life is heavily designed to keep you busy. For most people to live, you have to work forty hours or more a week. Then most people sleep a total of forty hours or so a week. That is half your week.
-
That does not mean though that you have another forty hours of pure “you” time! Add in the commute times. Which those can be more fun if we listen to music, podcasts or chat with a friend on the phone.
-
It may just be the struggles of a young man finding his way, but what I am getting at is that it is not an easy thing to get ahead and to support yourself while still honoring your own time for what matters to you; health, hobbies, family and friends.
-
If you take care of yourself, stay healthy, workout and eat right, that is another big chunk of time dedicated. Leaving you even less time to relax and recoup. All I’m getting at is this system we are all operating in, is not built for us, it is built for production and more money. Bullshit. We are not machines.
-
As always, I worked on my art this week. I will say though, the last week I have been very unmotivated to make art. It’s been a lot of staring at the page and uncertainty.
-
Song of the week;
Bloodline by Kaleo
-
Got a Kaleo bug after seeing them in concert last weekend. So, that is about all I played until midweek.
-
No podcast this week, stay tuned for when Ryan gets back from North Dakota.
-
Tight lines and I’ll catch ya later!
Peace and Love
