Weekly Recap; 5/12/25-5/18/25

That is all she wrote. Very little fishing. Some time in Nature. Pines, Birds, Rocks and a Silver Bass.

-

Mother Natures plays the hand; wind. The flow of life for me currently. Doing what I can to get outdoors while also working to pay the bills.

-

Ironic to me how much has to be sacrificed and how much it costs to just live simply how we are supposed to, in line with Nature.

-

This is something that is on my mind often and bothers me. Forty hours of the week spent working to make money go eat, live and get around. Leaving little time to ground and connect with who we really are in the stillness.

-

Not entirely sure how to rectify this. Becoming a guide is a step in the right direction, no doubt. Who knows if it’ll satisfy me until I do it.

-

I am realizing how young I am and how much there is to learn before I “settle down” into a consistent pattern of life. Even at that though, there is a balance of the familiar and exploratory.

-

Thankfully the day got better along with my attitude. You can probably tell where, as I write the rest of the article. I want to leave the first part in with my "negative mindset" because I think we all struggle with this but are often afraid to share.

-

While sitting on the edge of the water on the Lower River I got to see a big Sturgeon do it thing up shallow for several minutes and that felt like a real blessing.

-

The end of the week smallmouth I caught Sunday evening after the podcast was pretty awesome! It was the first cast curse, but oh well it was a fun fight. Swimbaits really just do a great job of imitating so many types of forage.

-

The podcast will be posted soon! Check it out, at the end I show some of the JDO hair jigs that are for sale!

-

Enjoy the photos below!

Tight lines and catch ya soon!
